# Liverpool have a title winning mentality says Xherdan Shaqiri

Shaqiri believes the current Liverpool squad have the winning mentality required to win a title, [according to the Daily Mail.](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-6662927/Xherdan-Shaqiri-compares-Liverpool-successful-teams-played-Bayern-Munich-Basle.html)

The Switzerland international has won two league titles in Germany with Bayern Munich and three in his native country with Basle, and he believes Liverpool are showing all the signs of a side capable of winning the league.

Liverpool are currently two points clear of current champions Manchester City, who defeated Arsenal on Sunday afternoon, and have lost just once in the league all season and though Jurgen Klopp has not yet won a trophy as Liverpool boss, Shaqiri is confident that his club can end that run and win the Premier League this season.

> I played in Germany and won titles there, so I have experience of it. It has to be a winning mentality and players need to be focused. The mentality is similar \[here\]. You need to go into games trying to win them and to give everything to do that. I am pretty sure with the talent we have in the team we can achieve a lot.
