Liverpool have no current plans to offer Mohamed Salah a new deal, according to the [https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-9161179/Mohamed-Salah-insists-Liverpool-future-clubs-hands.html](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-9161179/Mohamed-Salah-insists-Liverpool-future-clubs-hands.html)*[Daily Mail](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-9161179/Mohamed-Salah-insists-Liverpool-future-clubs-hands.html)*‘s Dominic King.

The Egyptian’s Reds future has been a talking point in recent days, with the player himself [claiming](https://www.tv2.no/sport/11891794/) he is happy at the club.

That being said, Salah also stated that the ball is very much in Liverpool’s court, suggesting he may not stay put if a new contract isn’t offered.

King claims that there are ‘no immediate plans to offer contract renewals’ to the 28-year-old or other players, due to the financial situation, but that should change over time.

It is clearly a tough time for Liverpool in a monetary sense, with the virus affecting the world currently having a negative effect on the finances at Anfield.

The hope is that Salah will eventually be offered a new deal, however, given his incredible influence for the Reds over the past four seasons, with [111 goals scored](https://www.lfchistory.net/Players/Player/Profile/1317) in just 178 appearances.

Liverpool’s No.11 [hasn’t exactly ruled out](https://en.as.com/en/2020/12/19/football/1608337060_026566.html) the possibility to leaving to join Real Madrid or Barcelona, however, so it does feel like a transfer story that could rumble on.

At 28, Salah remains a footballer at the peak of his powers, so the thought of him staying at Anfield for several more years, at least, is ideal.
