# Liverpool in advanced talks with Lyon over move for Nabil Fekir

Liverpool are in advanced talks with Lyon regarding a £60m move for Nabil Fekir, according to [The Guardian](https://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2018/may/29/liverpool-capture-fabinho-anfield-jurgen-klopp?CMP=share_btn_tw).

The noises from Lyon suggest that they’ll wait until after the World Cup before discussing the possible sale of their captain, but Liverpool are hoping to get business done early this summer and will be hoping to get a deal done well before the tournament kicks off.

The Reds, who will officially sign Naby Keita and Fabinho on July 1st, are in the market for a forward and a goalkeeper and Fekir is seemingly the forward they want.

The 24-year-old scored for France against the Republic of Ireland last night, albeit rather fortuitously. and there are reportedly a number of clubs, such as Chelsea, interested in him.

However, Liverpool remain confident of getting a deal done for the Lyon captain, and it seems like that could happen as early as this week.
