# Liverpool insider provides massive contract extension update

**Liverpool have won three games in a row for the first time under Andoni Iraola and are playing some good football.**

The Reds came from behind to beat both Brentford and Villarreal in the past week and are now preparing for three successive games at Anfield across all competitions.

Rio Ngumoha has been in fine form in recent weeks and was Liverpool’s shining light against Villarreal with two assists.

And now, Lewis Steele believes the England international is set to commit his long-term future to the club.

## Rio Ngumoha to stay at Liverpool

Writing for the [Daily Mail](https://www.dailymail.com/sport/football/article-16226367/liverpool-confidential-rio-ngumoha-mac-allister-bradley.html?ico=authors_pagination_mobile), Steele confirms that the young attacker is set to put pen to paper on a new deal despite interest from Arsenal and Bayern Munich.

An excerpt from the article reads: “Rio Ngumoha is on course to extend his Liverpool contract, which runs until 2028, with his agent in talks.

“Sources close to him say he loves the club and wants to commit his long-term future. Despite interest from Arsenal, Bayern Munich and other European clubs, a deal appears a matter of when, not if.”

The last line of the previous paragraph is particularly telling as it appears as if Ngumoha staying at Anfield is a foregone conclusion.

It’s safe to say we can expect an announcement at some point between now and the turn of the year.
