# Liverpool reportedly interested in Italy and Sassuolo’s £31.5m star this summer after fantastic Euro 2020 start

This summer has already seen the stocks of plenty of players rise due to their performances at Euro 2020.

With the tournament [well underway](https://www.bt.com/sport/football/euro-2020/tables) and the group stage now complete, the competition is starting to heat up.

One of the star teams of the tournament so far has been Italy, with Roberto Mancini’s squad off to a [fantastic start](https://www.bt.com/sport/football/euro-2020/tables).

The Azzurri have won all three games so far, with 7 goals scored and three clean sheets in the process.

Plenty of players have attracted attention from the big clubs across Europe, including Liverpool.

According to [Sky Sports Germany](https://sport.sky.de/fussball/artikel/transfer-update/10861226/34942), Liverpool are interested in Italy and Sassuolo winger Domenico Berardi…

The Italian has a current [market value](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/domenico-berardi/marktwertverlauf/spieler/177843) of £31.5million, and has been one of the standout performers, with the report [translating as such](https://translate.google.com/?sl=auto&tl=en&text=%0ALIVERPOOL%20WOHL%20AN%20ITALIEN-STAR%20INTERESSIERT%0A%0ADer%20FC%20Liverpool%20zeigt%20nach%20Informationen%20des%20Daily%20Express%20Interesse%20an%20Sassuolo-Fl%C3%BCgelflitzer%20und%20Italiens%20EM-Star%20Domenico%20Berardi.%20Demnach%20sollen%20die%20Reds%20im%20Sommer%20an%20einem%20Transfer%20arbeiten.%0A%0ADer%2026-J%C3%A4hrige%20stand%20in%20beiden%20Gruppenspielen%20mit%20der%20italienischen%20Nationalmannschaft%20in%20der%20Startelf.%20Bei%20Sassuolo%20steht%20der%20EM-Fahrer%20noch%20bis%202024%20unter%20Vertrag.%0A%0A%0A&op=translate)…

> According to information from the Daily Express, Liverpool FC are interested in Sassuolo winger and Italy attacking star Domenico Berardi. Accordingly, the Reds should work on a transfer in the summer.
>
> The 26-year-old was in the starting line-up in both group matches with the Italian national team. At Sassuolo, the attacker is still under contract until 2024.

Berardi had a fantastic season in the Serie A last time out, [managing](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/domenico-berardi/leistungsdaten/spieler/177843) 17 goals with 8 assists from just 30 games.

This summer has seen the Italian start every game for Italy, operating at right-wing and creating a real impact.

At 26-years-old, Berardi has plenty of football left in him, and he certainly looks a fantastic players.

However, I can’t see this being a realistic move for the Reds given their reported stance in the market this summer.

According to reports, the Reds [won’t be signing another attacker this summer](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/06/22/liverpool-no-striker-signing/).
