# Liverpool interested in Diego Llorente

Liverpool are one of a number of Premier League sides interested in signing Real Sociedad defender Diego Llorente, [Sport Witness report via Mundo Deportivo](https://sportwitness.co.uk/tottenham-west-ham-fulham-3-london-clubs-keen-player/).

The Reds are set to rival Tottenham, Fulham and West Ham for the former Real Madrid man, and the Premier League sides could face a challenge from Los Blancos in the pursuit of Llorente.

Real agreed a €25million buy-back clause with Sociedad after the defender moved to the Anoeta Stadium on a five-year deal in 2017.

Sevilla are also rumoured to be interested in the defender, who has a release clause of €50million for clubs other than Real, and Liverpool could be in the best financial position to meet that clause.

The Reds have had a number of defensive injuries this season, with the likes of Dejan Lovren and Joe Gomez both recently having a spell on the treatment table, and Jurgen Klopp could look to Llorente to strengthen his defensive options in the summer.
