# Liverpool interested in move for Timo Werner

AC Milan are hoping to sign RB Leipzig star Timo Werner this summer, but [reports in Italy](https://www.sportsmole.co.uk/football/liverpool/transfer-talk/news/ac-milan-rival-liverpool-for-werner_327252.html) claim that Liverpool will rival them if the German club decide to sell up.

Jurgen Klopp is said to be a long-time admirer of the forward but any attempts to sign him in the past have been promptly knocked back by Leipzig.

However, things aren’t as stable at Leipzig as they have been in the recent past. Naby Keita will be joining Liverpool this summer, Ralph Hasenhuttl stepped down as manager and Emil Forsberg is apparently pushing for a move away.

Werner is also being linked with a move away, with Milan showing interest in him, but Leipzig are still reluctant to let him leave. If they do decide to allow him to move, Liverpool have made it known that they’d be interested in signing him.

Werner is said to be happy at Leipzig and has no plans to move but if things go badly there this summer, that could quickly change.
