Liverpool are interested in a deal to sign Wolves central midfielder Ruben Neves in the summer.

[According to Portuguese outlet O’Jogo, via The BBC](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/gossip), Liverpool are keen on the talented midfielder.

Neves has impressed in the Premier League for Wolves this season and led them to an FA Cup semi-final, although they lost to Watford at Wembley last weekend.

The Portuguese midfielder joined Wolves in the summer of 2017 and helped them win the Championship, which also led to him being nominated for the Championship Player of the Year award – with Fulham’s Ryan Sessegnon eventually winning.

O’Jogo claim that Liverpool assistant Pep Lijnders has been impressed with Neves, which could lead to the club making a move for him at the end of the season.

The 22-year-old has three goals and two assists from midfield for Wolves in the Premier League this season.

Neves started his career at Porto in Portugal, where he made 97 first-team appearances before his move to Wolves.
