# Liverpool leading race for Bishop

Liverpool are leading the race for Ipswich starlet, Teddy Bishop, according to The Mirror.

Bishop, who is 18, only broke into Mick McCarthy’s Ipswich side this season. The 18 year-old is supposedly rated at about £10m by Ipswich as Premier League clubs monitor his development.

Manchester United, Arsenal and Tottenham are the other admirers of the Ipswich youngster. The Mirror understands that Liverpool have made an enquiry into the availability of Bishop.

Ipswich, though, are insistent that the highly-rated youngster isn’t for sale. But in the summer, their stance on the matter is likely to soften, so there is more time for potential replacements.

Bishop has made 18 appearances for Ipswich, scoring the one goal. The midfielder will have a decision to make in the summer, perhaps.

Ipswich are flying at the moment and with potential promotion a possibility, will Bishop choose to leave Town or stay with the club that he has been with since under-8s football.

The deal is more likely to be in the summer, if any, with Ipswich’s stance on the matter. But, Brendan Rodgers and Liverpool are determined to make Bishop a Red.
