# Liverpool lining up move for Real Madrid forward

Liverpool are lining up a shock late move for Real Madrid winger Denis Cheryshev as Jurgen Klopp looks to bolster his side’s attacking options at the very end of the January transfer window, according to [The Mirror](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/liverpool-ready-make-transfer-deadline-7282695).

Cheryshev is not getting a look in at the moment under new Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane, therefore, a move away for the Russian international on the last day of the winter transfer window would come as no surprise.

However, a move to the Premier League was looking highly unlikely until Klopp’s Liverpool have reportedly targeted for a move for the winger.

It is believed that Cheryshev could be available to the Reds for a loan move until the end of the season, and perhaps his arrival means that the Reds are giving up hope of signing Alex Teixeira after Shakhtar Donetsk [said they wouldn’t sell](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2016/01/29/liverpool-priced-teixeira-deal/) the Brazilian for less than his release fee, which is approximately £50million.
