# Liverpool linked with move for Ruben Neves

Liverpool are interested in signing Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Ruben Neves this summer, according to a [report from Italy](https://www.milanlive.it/2020/06/17/calciomercato-milan-keita-liverpool-fattore-rangnick/).

It claims that the Reds are considering selling Naby Keita to AC Milan to fund a move for the Portuguese star, who is valued at [£36m.](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/ruben-neves/profil/spieler/225161)

In truth, Wolves would almost certainly be looking for more than £36m for the 23-year-old, given the impact he’s had for them and that he’s under contract for another three years.

Ever since their promotion from the Championship, Wolves have looked every bit a Premier League side under the management of Nuno Espirito Santo and they’re currently battling for a top-four spot as the season gets set to resume.

As such, this link seems quite far-fetched, especially when you consider the options that Jurgen Klopp currently has in terms of midfield players and the fact that the global health crisis looks like it will have a major impact on the Reds’ finances going forwards.

Neves is a very good player but we can’t see him moving to Liverpool any time soon.
