# Liverpool could make a late bid for Keita Balde Diao

Liverpool could make a late bid for Monaco’s Keita Balde Diao, according to journalist Graeme Bailey.

Whilst the French champions are refusing to sell either Fabinho or Thomas Lemar this month, there is a thought that they could listen to offers for the 22-year-old, despite his very good start to like in Monaco.

Liverpool were reportedly unwilling to offer the £90m that Monaco wanted for Lemar but Bailey suggests that Balde Diao could be available for closer to £60m.

Monaco are said to be encouraging both Liverpool and Arsenal to make offers for the winger, although it remains to be seen if either club do.

Jurgen Klopp recently admitted that he’s not planning to spend in January, but said he and the club would react if offered a deal that suits. If Bailey’s report is correct, Balde Diao is certainly a name that could get Liverpool thinking about a bid, such is his quality.
