# Liverpool make move for Clyne

**Southampton’s Nathaniel Clyne has emerged as a target for Liverpool.**

With Glen Johnson leaving the club and Emre Can uncomfortable at right back (albeit not his position), Rodgers feels that the right back area needs to be filled with a more convincing full back.

Once again, Liverpool have targeted a player from Southampton and have had a bid of £10 million rejected, as reported by *Tony Barrett.*

However, it is also reported that Liverpool will come back with an improved offer for the England international.

Clyne is also a target for Manchester United and it will be interesting to see how this one pans out.
