# Liverpool one of four clubs to make offer for Mbappe

Liverpool are one of four clubs to have tabled an offer for Kylian Mbappe, according to *El Desmarque*, via *[Sport Witness](https://sportwitness.co.uk/liverpool-player-proposal-jurgen-klopps-side-table/)*.

The Reds have been [linked](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2019/12/10/mbappe-reportedly-unhappy-at-psg-amid-liverpool-links/) with an audacious summer move for the Paris Saint-Germain superstar in the past, and [reports](https://eldesmarque.com/madrid/real-madrid/noticias/185172-cuatro-ofertas-a-mbappe-rechaza-tres-y-se-deja-querer-por-ellos-y-no-es-el-real-madrid-ed) continue to emerge regarding their interest.

This latest update suggests that Mbappe is ignoring the interest, however, with PSG keen to keep hold of him.

Real Madrid have been [tipped](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2020/02/06/journalist-claims-mbappe-has-agreed-terms-with-real-madrid/) to sign the 21-year-old, with a potential link-up with Zinedine Zidane on the cards.

### Read Liverpool Verdict

Of all the players linked with Liverpool recently, Mbappe would be my number one choice. I think he is the most exciting player of his generation, having already scored [over 100 career goals](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kylian_Mbapp%C3%A9) as well as [winning](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/world-cup/2018/07/15/france-vs-croatia-world-cup-final-2018-live-score-latest-updates/) the World Cup with France and the [2017 Golden Boy](<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golden_Boy_(award)>) award.

I think the striker possess a magic that previous greats like [Ronaldo](https://en.as.com/en/2019/11/03/football/1572801860_843455.html) and [Thierry Henry](https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2809322-youri-djorkaeff-compares-kylian-mbappe-to-thierry-henry-and-ronaldo) did, combining electrifying pace with quick feet and nerveless finishing.

I would be shocked if the Reds signed him, however, not least because of the [vast transfer fee and wages](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/liverpool-transfer-kylian-mbappe-2020-16455060) the Frenchman would likely demand.

It could set a precedent at Anfield, with other key men likely to ask for more money. At the moment, the top players earn a [similar amount](https://www.spotrac.com/epl/liverpool-f.c/payroll/) – Mohamed Salah is the highest earner on £200,000 a week – but Mbappe is on around [£450,000 a week](https://wageindicator.co.uk/pay/vip-celebrity-salary/kylian-mbappe) at PSG.
