# Liverpool Player Ratings: Fulham (H)

Just when [Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/03/07/liverpool-morning-news-round-up-7th-march-2021/)‘s season seemed incapable of stooping any lower, the Reds reached a new lowest ebb with a [sixth home defeat](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/match/2020-21/first-team/fixtures-and-results)against [Fulham](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/03/07/liverpool-predicted-xi-fulham-h-2/).

Jurgen Klopp’s side more or less waved goodbye to their[top-four chances](https://www.premierleague.com/tables) when a[Mario Lemina strike](https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/liverpool-vs-fulham-live-stream-latest-score-premier-league-2021-team-news-tv-result-b922639.html) flew into the bottom right-hand corner after Liverpool failed to clear their lines.

Despite dominating much of the second half it took twenty minutes before anything meaningful was created by a [shot-shy](https://www.besoccer.com/new/liverpool-no-pl-goals-in-2021-and-438-minutes-without-scoring-946748) home side.

A combination of fine saves from visiting stopper Alphonse Areola, last-ditch defending, the woodwork and[all-round poor finishing](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/17821974)putting pay to any fight back.

All attention now turns to[UEFA Champions League matters](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/jurgen-klopp-makes-champions-league-19981855)after another unpalatable Premier League display.

Elimination on Wednesday would prove to be a painful bitter pill to swallow and at this stage would all but end the campaign as a competition.

Here’s how we rated the Reds on show on a dire afternoon at Anfield…
