# Liverpool Player Ratings: Leicester City (A)

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/02/12/easy-one-james-maddison-makes-light-hearted-quip-about-facing-liverpool/)were once again found wanting as Leicester City piled more misery on to what has been a [dismal patch](https://www.skysports.com/liverpool-results)for the defending champions.

Having taken the lead through a sublime [Mohamed Salah](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/02/11/dejan-lovren-tips-mohamed-salah-to-remain-at-liverpool/) goal assisted by an outrageous Roberto Firmino backheel, Jurgen Klopp’s side played a huge and wholly abject hand in their own downfall.

Leicester playmaker James Maddison scored [directly from a free-kick](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/55960005) that was initially ruled out having been somehow allowed to travel across the entire penalty area.

The equaliser was soon followed by a double salvo from the home side as Liverpool capitulated when Jamie Vardy walked the ball in after a[calamitous mix up](https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/leicester-vs-liverpool-live-stream-latest-score-premier-league-2021-team-news-tv-result-b919677.html)before Harvey Barnes got in behind to score.

This humbling defeat leaves Klopp’s men[fourth in the table](https://www.premierleague.com/tables) and hanging on to that spot by the skin of their teeth.

Here’s how we rated the Reds who need a shift in momentum and performances as soon as possible…
