# Liverpool Predicted XI: Fulham (H)

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/03/06/loris-karius-linked-with-surprise-move-to-bayern-munich/)are in action once again at Anfield looking to bring an end to a [woeful run](https://www.skysports.com/liverpool-results)of home defeats as they[welcome Fulham](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/match/2020-21/first-team/fixtures-and-results) to Merseyside.

Having threatened to[challenge for the Premier League title](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/54671338)once again earlier in the season, the halcyon days of [last seasons procession](https://www.premierleague.com/tables?co=1&se=274&ha=-1) are a distant memory and the Reds are clinging onto any[hopes of a top-four finish](https://www.premierleague.com/tables?co=1&se=363&ha=-1).

This clash, against a relegation-threatened but [improving Fulham side](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/premier-league/formtabelle/wettbewerb/GB1)has to be viewed as a must-win match for [Jurgen Klopp](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/03/06/jurgen-klopp-delivers-defiant-message-of-unity/)‘s side – not only for the points but to recapture any confidence that has recently deserted the squad.

The last meeting between the two ended [1-1](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/55204248) after Liverpool went behind early on before a [Mohamed Salah penalty](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11661/12160268/fulham-1-1-liverpool-mohamed-salahs-penalty-cancels-out-bobby-decordova-reids-opener-after-reds-slow-start)drew the Reds level at Craven Cottage.

Despite slipping to an unwanted[record-breaking fifth straight home defeat](https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/liverpool-fc-five-premier-league-home-defeats-anfield-history-b922283.html)on Thursday, there was a positive in the [return of Diogo Jota](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/427836-diogo-jota-in-reds-squad-for-chelsea-clash), who looked lively during his cameo appearance.

With [Ozan Kabak a doubt](https://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/breaking-liverpool-injury-ozan-kabak-23614152)and Nathaniel Phillips deemed fit, there will be at least one forced change, but perhaps one or two tactical alterations also.
