# Quiz: Name The Liverpool Scorers Against Dutch Clubs

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2020/12/01/liverpool-fans-are-excited-about-naby-keita-potential-reds-return/) welcome Ajax to Anfield tonight in the Champions League looking to clinch qualification from [Group D](https://www.uefa.com/uefachampionsleague/match/2029428--liverpool-vs-atalanta/standings/?iv=true).

[Ravaged by injury](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/418041-lfc-injury-update-alexander-arnold-keita-shaqiri-and-milner), the Reds failed to get the job done last week [against Atalanta](https://www.uefa.com/uefachampionsleague/match/2029428--liverpool-vs-atalanta/), but with two games remaining – starting with the visit of the Eredivisie outfit – qualification should be a formality.

Having won their opening three games in the group, including an [impressive 1-0 victory in Amsterdam](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_YrXuTghKbI&feature=onebox) on matchday one – [Jurgen Klopp](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2020/11/30/chris-sutton-labels-jurgen-klopp-pathetic-after-fixture-row/)‘s side have afforded themselves some leeway in their attempt to reach the knockout stages.

Despite the rich European histories of both Liverpool and [Ajax](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/ajax-amsterdam/erfolge/verein/610), this will be only the [fourth competitive meeting](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/ajax-amsterdam/bilanzdetail/verein/610/wettbewerb_id//gegner_id/31/saison_id//heim_gast//datum_von/-/datum_bis/-/day/0/land_id/189) between two clubs who have [amassed a wealth of trophies](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/history/honours).

As well as having a lasting affinity with [players originating from the Netherlands](https://www.lfchistory.net/Stats/PlayerCountries/Details/6), including Virgil van Dijk and Georginio Wijnaldum among the current crop, Liverpool have [plenty of history against Dutch clubs](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/liverpool-fc/bilanz/verein/31/plus/0?saison_id=&land_id=122&wettbewerb_id=&clubs_in_comp_id=&heim_gast=&day=&punkte=&group=1&datum_von=-&datum_bis=-) in European competition.
