# Liverpool reportedly interested in Toljan

Liverpool, alongside Chelsea, are reportedly holding an interest in Tottenham target Jeremy Toljan.

According to a report from [Sky Sports](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11675/10961622/tottenham-keen-on-hoffenheim-defender-jeremy-toljan) today, the Hoffenheim defender is a target for the Premier League trio as they look to bolster their full-back options.

Toljan has enjoyed a brilliant year with the Bundesliga club, and has made his mark on the European stage. He impressed for Germany’s Under-21 side at the European Championships and was one of their key players.

The defender, who is capable of playing at both right and left back, is particularly interesting Tottenham, who are keen to replace Kyle Walker this summer.

At Hoffenheim, his contract expires next summer, so a cut-price deal could be available. This would surely be attractive to potential suitors, and while his market value in Germany is said to be worth only £3m, Julian Nagelsmann’s side would surely demand more for such a promising player.

Liverpool are well stocked in both full-back positions, so a move would be somewhat unlikely, however.
