# Liverpool reportedly not interested in Yerry Mina

Liverpool are reportedly not interested in signing Colombian centre back Yerry Mina, despite suggestions they would seek to bring in the World Cup star in the transfer window.

Having joined Barcelona from Palmeiras in January, it is understood that the 23-year-old is unwanted by the Spanish giants after just six appearances.

Representing Colombia at the World Cup, Mina made a name for himself by scoring three goals. All from corners, a 92nd minute equaliser against England came close to sending his nation through to the quarter-finals, but his side came up short on penalties.

In spite of initial rumours that Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp was interested in acquiring the 6 ft 5 in colossus this summer, David Anderson claims the club have no such intrigue.

Mina has a release clause of €100 million supposedly inserted into his contract at the Nou Camp, and any move away from Catalunya poses to be a loan, as the club continue to evaluate his worth.
