# Liverpool scout Kai Havertz

Liverpool are reportedly keeping a close eye on Bayer Leverkusen youngster Kai Havertz.

According to the [Daily Mail](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-4953014/Liverpool-scout-Bayer-Leverkusen-youngster-Kai-Havertz.html), the Reds have been scouting the promising midfielder as he continues to impress out in Germany.

Havertz is held in high regard out in his homeland, and is a key player for Germany’s Under-19 side. He wore the captain’s armband as the youngsters defeated Belarus in a convincing 5-1 win on Wednesday night.

Not only did Havertz lead his side in mature and impressive fashion, but he also played a pivotal part in the win. The Leverkusen man managed to net a superb four goals, while also assisting the other goal in his country’s comprehensive win.

Manchester United and Arsenal are both claimed to have had scouts watching the Under-19 game, and they’re sure to have been impressed by Havertz’s efforts.

Havertz has already made four senior appearances for Leverkusen this season in the Bundesliga.
