# Liverpool set to test Roma’s resolve with huge Alisson bid

After completing a deal to sign Brazilian star Fabinho from Monaco, Liverpool will make a world record bid in an attempt to sign his fellow countryman Alisson, according to Dominic King of [The Mail](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-5780333/Liverpool-t-tempt-Roma-record-fee-goalkeeper-Alisson.html).

Roma are apparently having issues with the Financial Fair Play rules once again and Liverpool are hoping to take advantage for a second time in two summers.

The Reds were able to get Mohamed Salah for what looks like a bargain price due to Roma’s financial issues last year and they’ll hope to do a deal for Alisson this summer.

Liverpool are still willing to pay a world record fee for a goalkeeper – over £60m – to sign the Brazilian but up to now, Roma have indicated that he’s not for sale.

However, with FFP looming over them, the Serie A side could be forced to cash in and if that is the case, Liverpool will be more than willing to take Alisson.
