# Liverpool should “enjoy the pressure” of Premier League title race

Liverpool should embrace the challenge that comes with winning the Premier League title, according to former Reds striker John Aldridge.

There have been clear signs of Jurgen Klopp’s side feeling the heat of late, following consecutive draws with Leicester City and West Ham.

Their mini-slump has allowed Manchester City to go top on goal difference, albeit having played a game extra.

Such has been the wait for league glory, it is no surprise to see the media focusing so heavily on Liverpool’s progress.

> No-one is worried about Manchester City, Manchester United or any other club – it’s because of this wait that we’ve had that has hyped it all up.

> The media love it and that’s why the extra pressure is on Liverpool Football Club. The fans are excited, the club is excited and the media feed off it. If it had been Chelsea in our position, there wouldn’t be anywhere near as much outburst from the media.

> You have to take every game as it comes but enjoy the moments and enjoy the exposure. Enjoy the pressure that comes with it. You get more enjoyment from each game you win from now until the end of the season.

> There’s no need to panic. Win the game in hand and we’re three points ahead. The goal difference could be a problem if it goes down to the wire.
>
> We’re second but if we can keep it level until the end of the season and win it in the last game we’d all be happy. It doesn’t matter how you win it as long as you win it.

Liverpool face what feels like a must-win game at home to Bournemouth on Saturday, although even a draw would still take them back to the Premier League’s summit.

Three points would do their confidence and belief the world of good, however, bringing an end to a sticky run of form.
