Alaba has enjoyed a glorious spell at Bayern over the past decade, [winning](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/david-alaba/erfolge/spieler/59016) nine Bundesliga titles and two Champions League crowns.

Alaba would be a superb signing if Liverpool could get a deal over the line, given his [world-class](https://www.90min.com/posts/welcome-to-world-class-david-alaba) quality and pedigree.

The defender is still only 28, so he should have several years left at the very top, and is capable of excelling at both centre-back and left-back. He has even played in central midfield in the past, too.

Alaba’s high [wages](https://www.rousingthekop.com/2021/02/10/report-liverpool-wont-pursue-david-alaba-after-excessive-wage-demands/) could prove to be a stumbling block, however, with his demands higher than any other current Liverpool player.
