# Liverpool supporters are in awe of Mane after fantastic gesture

Numerous Liverpool supporters have been hailing the selflessness of Sadio Mane, following his latest act of kindness.

The Senegalese star has become one of the Reds’ most popular players since [arriving](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36642523) from Southampton in the summer of 2016.

Not only has Mane shone with his attacking brilliance, [scoring 77 goals in 161 appearances](https://www.lfchistory.net/Players/Player/Profile/1303), but his likeable personality has often caught the eye.

Rarely seen without a smile on his face, unless he has the bit between his teeth during a game, there is almost an innocence about the 27-year-old that is endearing.

Mane is known to [give back](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/liverpool-star-sadio-mane-receives-16660969) to those in his homeland and he has provided another fantastic gesture amidst the outbreak of virus around the world.

According to [BBC Sport](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51930624), Liverpool’s No.10 has donated £41,000 to the national committee fighting against the current virus back in Senegal.

Mane’s kind act has not gone unnoticed among Reds supporters, who have taken to Twitter to shower their attacking hero with praise.
