De Ligt scored against England in the semi-finals of the Nations League on Thursday, in a 3-1 win for The Netherlands, although he did also give away a penalty early on in the game.

[As quoted by ESPN](https://www.espn.co.uk/football/soccer-transfers/story/3870168/de-ligt-on-future-im-taking-my-time), De Ligt said this after the win over England:

> I will take my time to reflect on what is the best option for my future.

The 19-year-old defender has already made over 100 first-team appearances for Ajax in all competitions and been capped 16 times by his country – scoring twice.
