# Liverpool team news: Sevilla (H)

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has been speaking ahead of his side’s Champions League curtain raiser against Sevilla.

The Reds welcome Eduardo Berizzo’s men to Anfield on Wednesday evening as they look to get their European campaign off to a flying start, following their play-off victory against Hoffenheim over two legs.

Klopp addressed the media on Tuesday evening ahead of the clash against Sevilla, and delivered an update on his squad’s condition.

The German manager confirmed, as quoted by James Pearce from the Liverpool Echo, that Philippe Coutinho is in a good condition, hinting that he could be in contention for the game against Sevilla.

Also, Klopp allayed fears that Mohamed Salah is a doubt for the match. The Egyptian international was sent home from training with a suspected illness on Tuesday morning, but the Liverpool boss believes he should be fine to go ahead as usual in the training session on the day of the game.

Klopp also confirmed that Loris Karius will be brought into the side against Sevilla barring any complications, replacing Simon Mignolet.
