# Liverpool would need to make De Ligt their highest earner to land him

Liverpool have been told that they would need to make Matthijs De Ligt their highest paid player in order to sign him this summer.

[According to The Mirror,](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/matthijs-de-ligt-transfer-would-16482040) De Ligt’s agent, Mino Raiola, sees Liverpool as the ideal destination for him, but Manchester United and PSG have already made wage offers for the defender.

The report claims that United are offering £236k-per-week, whilst the French giants PSG are prepared to give him £256k-per-week.

If Liverpool were to match either of those offers, or go above, then they would be making De Ligt their highest paid player.

Mo Salah is currently Liverpool’s biggest earner – currently pocketing £200k-per-week in wages

The report claims that six clubs are interested in signing De Ligt, including Liverpool, PSG, Manchester United, Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Manchester City.

De Ligt made 55 appearances in all competitions for Ajax this season, scoring seven goals from centre-back for the Dutch club.
