# Lovren misses Liverpool training ahead of Bayern clash

Dejan Lovren was not involved in Liverpool’s training on Monday and is now set to miss their clash with Bayern Munich on Tuesday.

According to journalist Dominic King, of the Daily Mail, Lovren did not participate in Liverpool’s training sessions on Monday.

The Reds host Bayern Munich at Anfield on Tuesday in the first leg of their round of 16 Champions League tie with the Bundesliga giants.

Jurgen Klopp also has to deal with the suspension of Virgil Van Dijk, who misses the game after accruing too many yellow cards during the group stage.

With Lovren and Van Dijk out, Joel Matip is Liverpool’s only fit senior central defender, although Fabinho has played there at times this season.

Lovren’s last appearance for Liverpool came at the start of January when he limped off in the first-half of their 2-1 FA Cup defeat to Wolves.
