# Lyon say they’ve not had any contact with Liverpool regarding Nabil Fekir

Lyon President Jean-Michel Aulas insists that Liverpool have not contacted his club regarding a possible move for Nabil Fekir.

Reports in France claimed that the Reds were close to completing a deal for the Lyon captain but Aulas has denied those suggestions.

As reported by [GFFN](https://www.getfootballnewsfrance.com/2018/lyon-president-aulas-on-nabil-fekir-there-has-been-no-contact-with-liverpool/), he said:

> There has been no contact with Liverpool, or any other club, so we haven’t discussed the future. I know that Nabil, now that we have qualified for the Champions’ League, would really like to stay, so we will discuss things calmly.

He went on to praise the performances of the 24-year-old, before hinting that if Liverpool, or any club, want to sign Fekir, they’ll need to pay a very high fee.

> He has magnificently won the right to go to Russia with France, which gives him an even higher standing. For the moment, nothing is done. You will have to be very, very rich to sign Nabil Fékir this year.

If Liverpool are to look to do a deal for Fekir, they’ll likely wait until after Saturday’s Champions League final.
