# Madrid not concerned by Ronaldo injury

Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane is not concerned by the injury Cristiano Ronaldo sustained in the El Classico on Sunday night.

As reported [Marca](https://twitter.com/marca/status/993248816529846273), Zidane confirmed after the match that the injury is not serious.

> It’s not right right now, but I think it’s going to be little, it’s just a movement, tomorrow we’ll see with the resonance, but it’s going to be little for him.

An ankle injury forced the Portuguese superstar off at half-time and there were fears that he could miss the Champions League final.

Unfortunately for Liverpool, that no longer appears to be the case, despite the severity of the injury is still unclear.

Marco Asensio came off the bench to replace Ronaldo, with the game ending 2-2.

Goals from former Liverpool striker Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi either side of a Ronaldo equaliser had given Barcelona a 2-1 lead. Gareth Bale levelled the game late on to secure a point for Real.

Madrid travel to Sevilla on Wednesday night before games against Celta Vigo and Villarreal in preparation for the final in Kiev.
