# Man City to Offer Dzeko as Part of Deal for Sterling

**Update:**

Paul Joyce has reported that Brendan Rodgers “could” be interested in Edin Dzeko.

Sterling has of course been linked with Man City in recent days, and any Rodgers interest in Dzeko might open the door for a move. More below.

Manchester City will reportedly offer the striker to Liverpool as part of a deal for Raheem Sterling.

Neil Moxley from The Sunday People believes that the Bosnian striker will be used as a make-weight in a £50m deal to take Sterling to the Etihad.

Liverpool are clearly in the market for a striker as Mario Balotelli, Fabio Borini and Rickie Lambert could all depart the club, while England centre forward Daniel Sturridge has recently undergone surgery to hopefully put an end to his injuries.

Dzeko looks set to leave Manchester, with Juventus named as a possible destination, but Moxley believes that City will use the 29 year old as part of their bid for Sterling.

Sterling apparently would prefer a move to London, but he doesn’t really have a choice as to which bids, if any, Liverpool accept for him.
