# Many Liverpool fans call for Nat Phillips to start against Chelsea

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/03/02/report-journalist-claims-gini-wijnaldum-has-an-agreement-with-inter-milan/) will be looking to end what at one stage [recently seemed an unimaginably poor run](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-9176765/Where-does-Liverpools-68-game-unbeaten-home-run-rank-Premier-League-history.html) of form at Anfield on Thursday when they entertain Chelsea.

Having gone so long without tasting defeat in the Premier League at the L4 fortress, the Reds are now looking to[avoid five straight defeats at home](https://www.skysports.com/liverpool-results).

Many Kopites, who unfortunately can’t be in attendance to roar [Jurgen Klopp](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/03/01/liverpool-fans-mock-man-united-supporter-after-moaning-about-jurgen-klopp/)‘s side on, have called for[no-nonsense central defender](https://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/who-is-nathaniel-phillips-the-liverpool-defender-on-standby/wv1kopsikaf91l2ey7933962p) Nathaniel Phillips to start.

Phillips’ place in the side is made all the more complicated with the[return of Fabinho](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/fabinho-injury-return-liverpool-klopp-19855860) who could slot in alongside Ozan Kabak or move into his customary midfield berth.

These Kopites at least want to see Phillips retain his place…
