# Many Liverpool fans plead for Rodrigo de Paul signing

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/02/19/nowhere-near-good-enough-jamie-carragher-brutally-assesses-divock-origi/)fans have been reacting to a report claiming Jurgen Klopp will look to Udinese midfielder [Rodrigo de Paul](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/02/19/liverpool-linked-with-move-for-udinese-star-rodrigo-de-paul-this-summer/) as the Reds manager attempts to ‘revolutionise’ his midfield for next season.

The report comes from Italian publication [Tutto Udinese](https://www.tuttoudinese.it/calciomercato/il-liverpool-continua-a-seguire-de-paul-80759) \[via [Sport Witness](https://sportwitness.co.uk/player-within-reach-liverpool-klopp-looking-revolutionise-midfield-reds-willing-move/)\] and could see the Reds pay at least €40million for the 26-year-old.

With [five goals and two assists](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/rodrigo-de-paul/leistungsdaten/spieler/255901) in Serie A this term, De Paul continues to play a pivotal part in his sides season.

Having [signed Thiago last summer](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11890/12074593/thiago-alcantara-liverpool-sign-bayern-munich-midfielder-in-25m-deal)as things stand there is little room for an additional midfielder in the [Anfield squad](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/team/first-team), albeit that may be short-lived as Gini Wijnaldum’s[future hangs in the balance](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/georginio-wijnaldum-liverpool-contract-future-23330238).
