# Marko Grujic keen to leave Liverpool on loan

Marko Grujic will aim to secure a loan move away from Liverpool in the January transfer window.

His agent, Zoran Stojadinovic, has confirmed that his client is keen to seek a move away from Anfield on a temporary basis with the New Year in mind, as he aims to build up more first-team experience.

Grujic’s representative discussed his client’s future with Serbian news outlet [Blic](https://www.sportskacentrala.com/2017/11/26/grujic-mora-da-napusti-liverpul-makabi-trazi-bogatstvo-za-rajkovica/) and explained that although a loan move is in the pipeline, the player is keen to remain in England.

> Grujic has to go somewhere in January in a loan, in the team where he will play. It must be an English club, so as not to make a mistake like Lazar Markovic did.

Stojadinovic made reference to Lazar Markovic, Liverpool’s big money signing from Benfica who failed to really impact proceedings in the English game.

> Had Lazar been my client, I would never advise him to leave England. He changed the country, the style of football, the temperament, the climate, and therefore his return to Liverpool was an impossible mission.

Although Grujic wants to seek a new challenge in the near future, his agent insists that he is held in high esteem at Anfield and is regarded as one for the future.

> To return to Grujic, he is very much appreciated in Liverpool and therefore he did not go anywhere because they did not want to let him go. But he needs more minutes in the field and that’s why the loan is the best solution for him in January to return to Liverpool after his return to the starting line.

Grujic has made five appearances in all competitions this season, with his only start coming in the Carabao Cup defeat against Leicester City.
