# Moreno tipped to join Barcelona this summer

Alberto Moreno is close to agreeing a two-year deal with Barcelona, [according to](https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2019/03/26/spanish-newspaper-claims-liverpools-alberto-moreno-will-join-bar/) *Sport*.

The Spaniard’s time at Liverpool is up, with the club not offering him a new deal and a summer exit certain.

Lazio had been hotly-tipped to seal a move for the left-back, with Moreno seen in Rome with his family during the international break.

It appears as though Barca are ready to swoop in, however, seeing the 26-year-old as ideal backup for Jordi Alba.

The report states that Moreno is one of three key summer transfer targets, along with Ajax captain Matthijs de Ligt and Eintracht Frankfurt striker Luka Jovic.

Should a move to Barca come to fruition, it would reunite Moreno with good friend Philippe Coutinho.

The former Sevilla man has never convinced fully at Liverpool, with his defensive shortcomings leaving a lot to be desired.

He remains a talented footballer, though, and someone whose attacking qualities could be a real asset for the Catalan giants.
