# “My goal is to play for Liverpool”, says Wilson

Liverpool’s on-loan star Harry Wilson says his primary aim is to make the grade at Anfield.

The Wales international is enjoying a superb season for Derby County, proving to be one of the Championship’s outstanding performers in 2018/19.

Wilson has scored a host of Goal of the Season contenders and he couldn’t have done much more to impress Jurgen Klopp.

The 21-year-old will return to Liverpool at the end of the campaign, but there are still doubts surrounding his future.

While many believe he should be given a chance as a regular squad member for the Reds, others feel it might still be a step too far.

Speaking to the *[Daily Mail](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-6705971/Jurgen-Klopp-texted-say-loved-goal-Manchester-United.html)*, Wilson said representing Liverpool remains his dream, as is the case with fellow Derby teammate Mason Mount at Chelsea:

> The main focus this season is to get promoted with Derby.

> But Mason’s goal is to play for Chelsea and my goal is to play for Liverpool. I have always felt like a Liverpool player.

> Everything is going along the right path.

This summer is likely to be key for Wilson, with Klopp sure to be ruthless when it comes to assembling his perfect squad for next season.

His current form is magnificent, though, which can only stand him in good stead.
