# Nabil Fekir “already has his head at Liverpool”

Speaking to La Chaine L’Équipe, French football journalist Nabil Djellit said that Nabil Fekir is desperate to join Liverpool and as such, he expects Lyon to let him leave sooner rather than later.

He said:

> Keeping players against their will does not end up well. Nabil Fékir already has his head at Liverpool. His soul has already projected a move to Liverpool. It would be counterproductive to keep him against his will.

Fekir looks to be Liverpool’s top attacking target this summer but negotiations between the Reds and Lyon seem to be progressing slowly as the French side have no desperate need to sell.

However, both Fekir and Liverpool would prefer the deal to be completed before the World Cup, whilst the French national set-up would prefer that too as a transfer target could be a potential distraction.

Didier Deschamps has been known to ban any transfer activity from taking place whilst players are on international duty so if a deal can’t be reached soon, it could be a long wait before any further progress is made.
