# Nabil Fekir still interested in Liverpool move

Nabil Fekir is still interested in making a move to Liverpool, according to a report from Le Progres, as cited by [Sky Sports](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11669/11613476/mondays-liverpool-transfer-rumours-nabil-fekir-adrien-rabiot-timo-werner).

Fekir looked certain to be joining Liverpool in the summer, but the move for the Frenchman broke down at a very late stage and as such, he’s remained with Lyon for the start of the 2018/19 season.

Only the parties involved know the full details as to why the transfer fell through but the World Cup winner is reportedly still keen to make a move to Anfield

> When asked about his plans for the future, Fekir told *Le Progres*: Discussions are ongoing. I have sat down with the president, things are advancing slowly. When will I take a decision? I am not fixing myself a date, I am not in a rush. Nobody is putting any pressure on it and I like to take my time. I do not know \[how long I will stay\]. Last year was supposed to be my last, and in the end, I’m still here. I cannot know the answer to this. I am happy at Lyon, but which player doesn’t dream of discovering a new league, another club?

Whether Liverpool are still interested in the 25-year-old remains to be seen. The Reds decided not to pursue a deal for another former target, Christian Pulisic, as Jurgen Klopp was content with his attacking options so the indications are that a move for Fekir still remains highly unlikely at this stage.
