# Naby Keita reveals the two things he does before every match

Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita has revealed that he has two pre-match rituals that he does before every single Liverpool match, according to a report on the [Mirror](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/naby-keita-reveals-2-incredible-13207183).

The former RB Leipzig man has quickly settled into the Liverpool squad and has earned plenty of praise from fans and pundits for his impressive start to life in a Liverpool shirt.

Keita has featured in all of Liverpool’s Premier League matches so far this season and he has added a balance to the Reds’ team.

The Guinea international midfielder is one of the key reasons that Jurgen Klopp’s men are undefeated so far this campaign and he has admitted his two habits before every match.

He said:

> Firstly, before every game, I always speak with my mum. She really encourages me a lot.

> Then once I’m out on the field, I say a little prayer for my team and for everyone on the field, both sides, so that nothing bad happens, no-one gets injured.

> Yes, I do that every single game, pray for both sides so nothing untoward happens, like a bad injury.

The midfielder is a warrior on the pitch but he has shown his caring nature by not just praying for his teammates, but also for the opposition players. Heart-warming stuff!
