# Naby Keita set for showdown talks with Leipzig

In recent weeks, Naby Keita has emerged as one of Liverpool’s top transfer targets this summer after they successfully brought in Mohamed Salah for a club-record fee from Roma earlier in the window.

Liverpool have been told that it will take [a bid in the region of £70m](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/liverpool-transfer-news-live-naby-13196389) in order to sign Keita this summer, and it’s understood that the Reds [will make a club-record offer](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2017/06/30/paul-joyce-confirms-liverpool-will-make-club-record-keita-bid/) for the midfielder.

The 22-year-old is [keen on a move to Anfield](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2017/07/01/naby-keita-wants-join-liverpool/) this summer and will sit down for talks with Leipzig over his future in the coming days, Paul Joyce of the Times reports.

With Jurgen Klopp ready to make signing Keita a priority when he and the rest of the club come together next week for the start of pre-season training, the Guinean midfielder will hold talks with his employers to seek clarity on the situation.

Liverpool are expected to contact Leipzig again in the near future regarding Keita and will test their resolve on the stance that he’s not for sale.
