# Neto a no go for Reds

**Liverpool will no longer be targeting goalkeeper Norberto Neto as *The Liverpool Echo* reports that he is close to joining the Italian champions, Juventus.**

The Reds were long term admirers of the Fiorentina shot stopper.

They even reportedly held talks about a possible move to Merseyside but now they will have to turn their attention elsewhere.

The search for a new keeper may intensify after Liverpool opted against renewing Brad Jones’ contract.

However, it is unclear whether the club are looking for a back up or a main keeper.

Simon Mignolet’s early form may have raised a few eyebrows but he has since turned it around, so much so that he won the Player of the Year award.
