# Newcastle are interested in both Divock Origi and Dominic Solanke

Former Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez is interested in signing two current Reds’ stars in January, according to a report in [the Newcastle Chronicle](https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/newcastle-january-transfer-window-benitez-15293902?_ga=2.141927346.1804293891.1539771625-1691146631.1530255572).

Benitez is looking to sign either Divock Origi or Dominic Solanke as he looks to bolster the attacking options he has available at his disposal.

However, because the Magpies already have two players on loan from English clubs; Kenedy from Chelsea and Salomon Rondon from West Brom, they will not be allowed to loan a third.

That means that it’s highly unlikely that Solanke will be an option for Newcastle as Liverpool will only let him move on a loan deal in January, but Origi could be an option for them.

The Reds are happy to sell Origi, who looks to be well down the pecking order in terms of Jurgen Klopp’s attacking options, but they will not let him leave on the cheap.

The Belgian’s goalscoring record for the Reds is fairly respectable so it won’t be a surprise if there are a few clubs interested in taking him in January.
