# Norwich set to bid £2.5m for Liverpool winger

Norwich City are ready to make a £2.5million bid for Liverpool winger Sergi Canos, according to [The Eastern Daily Press](https://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwich-city/norwich_city_transfer_rumours_canaries_track_2_5m_rated_liverpool_starlet_sergi_canos_1_4595677).

Bristol City have had a £2.5million bid accepted by Liverpool for Canos, with Norwich now willing to match that sum to try to tempt him to Carrow Road.

Canos spent last season on loan at Brentford in the Championship. He played 38 times for the Bees, scoring seven goals and impressed on a regular basis.

The Liverpool winger reportedly wants £10,000-per-week to stay at his current club, but it is thought that Liverpool would prefer he left, hence why they have accepted Bristol City’s bid.

However, any deal for the winger would include a sell-on and buy-back clause, which could put off Norwich from the deal and Bristol City have apparently agreed to those terms.

The winger could be seen as a replacement for Nathan Redmond at Norwich as the 22-year-old signed for Southampton last week for £11million.
