# Not signing Mane at Dortmund a huge regret, reveals Klopp

Jurgen Klopp has revealed not signing Sadio Mane at Borussia Dortmund remains one of his biggest regrets as a manager.

Klopp brought the Senegalese to Liverpool in the summer of 2016, which has proved to be a masterstroke.

Ever since joining, Mane has been a revelation, scoring 42 goals in 100 appearances for the Reds.

Klopp says he will forever regret not taking him to Dortmund, though, telling the *[Liverpool Echo](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/sadio-mane-decision-liverpool-manager-15672365)* that he was fortunate to get the chance to sign him again:

Both Klopp and Mane have spearheaded the revolution that has taken place at Anfield in the last few years.

The manager is excelling as Liverpool top the Premier League table, with Mane and so many others key to the Reds’ hopes of title glory in May.
