# Opinion: Jurgen Klopp should reunite ‘irresistible’ attacking trio for UCL clash

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2022/03/08/slaven-bilic-lauds-liverpool-powerhouse-virgil-van-dijk/) manager Jurgen Klopp should reignite the lethal front three of Diogo Jota, [Sadio Mane](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2022/03/07/pundit-claims-liverpool-ace-sadio-mane-could-now-go-after-january-arrival/) and Mohamed Salah for the second leg clash with Inter Milan.

The Reds hold a crucial [2-0 advantage](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QgiYjFn01b4) following the first meeting at the San Siro and will be confident of reaching the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League.

However, there are some selection headaches afoot for the German boss as all three of the frontline who [dismantled Atalanta back in November 2020](https://twitter.com/LivEchoLFC/status/1323744067478573058) are fit and available.

That display from Jota was hailed as ‘irresistible’ at the time by the [Daily Mail](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-8909889/Atalanta-vs-Liverpool-Champions-League-live-result.html) and Klopp has the opportunity to pitch them all together in Europe once more.

As things stand, the trio are the [top three goalscorers](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/top-scorers) in the Premier League, further proof of their lethal individual form.

Meanwhile. electric new boy Luis Diaz has also [impressed enough](https://www.sofascore.com/player/luis-diaz/883537) to earn a start on a potentially historic European night at Anfield.

Herre’s how we think Liverpool will lineup…

### READ LIVERPOOL VERDICT

**Predicted XI**: Alisson, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Ibrahima Konate, Virgil van Dijk, Andy Robertson; Fabinho, Jordan Henderson, Naby Keita; Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, Diogo Jota.

**Subs**: Caoimhin Kelleher, Joe Gomez, James Milner, Thiago, Joel Matip, Harvey Elliott, Curtis Jones, Luis Diaz, Kostas Tsimikas, Divock Origi, Takumi Minamino, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Whilst it’s harsh to essentially drop Diaz for this clash, the Colombian has [seen plenty of action](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/luis-diaz/leistungsdaten/spieler/480692) since arriving and a potential impact from the bench could be huge here.

Klopp also has Thiago and Joel Matip [back in contention](https://twitter.com/JamesPearceLFC/status/1500820307459911685), however, both are likely to start amongst the substitutes for now.

Roberto Firmino is also [nearing full fitness](https://twitter.com/LFC/status/1500929271560380419?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1500929271560380419%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fanfieldwatch.co.uk%2Fmatch-preview-liverpool-versus-inter-milan-key-battle-team-news-prediction%2F) but could be treated with caution having missed a fortnight due to an adductor injury.
