# Origi set to stay at Liverpool as Dortmund move to finalise Alcacer deal

Paco Alcacer is set to join Borussia Dortmund from Barcelona according to German Football Daily, in a deal that will mean Divock Origi is likely to stay put at Liverpool for the time being.

The Bundesliga giants had been supposedly interested in acquiring Origi, who had spent last season in the German top division on loan at Wolfsburg.

A disappointing year for the Belgian meant Wolfsburg were not interested in negotiating any kind of permanent deal for the versatile forward, and as such Origi returned to Anfield.

The 23-year-old’s six goals in 34 appearances last year was not enough to deter Dortmund however, who are keen to diversify their striking options before the August 31 transfer deadline.

However, they have fulfilled their desire elsewhere. Paco Alcacer had been heavily linked with a move away from Barcelona this summer, and the Spaniard may have found it in the form of a Dortmund switch.
