# Paul Lambert tells Butland suitors to pay more than £35m

Liverpool will need to pay more than £35 million if they want to sign Jack Butland from relegated Stoke City this summer, with West Ham and Wolves also keen on the England star.

As reported by the [Birmingham Mail](https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/wolves-transfer-news-jack-butland-14610971), Lambert has joked that Butland will cost much more than the reported £35 million.

Butland is widely expected to leave Stoke after their relegation to the Championship was confirmed on Saturday afternoon.

The England international has been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool and West Ham, while Championship winners Wolves have also been linked with the player.

Speculation has been rife about Liverpool’s goalkeeper situation this season with both Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius fighting for the number one spot throughout the campaign.

It is yet to be seen whether or not the Hammers will pursue a permanent deal for Joe Hart when the current campaign finishes, meaning they could also pounce on Butland.
