# ‘Plan decided’ – Fabrizio Romano confirms Liverpool player will leave next week

**Liverpool are still in the process of fine-tuning their squad under Andoni Iraola and have a lot of work to do before the summer transfer window slams shut.**

Ronald Araujo’s loan move from Barcelona was confirmed yesterday, with the defender expected to add a bit of defensive depth to a fragile backline.

The Uruguayan is expected to make his debut against Como next week. But the game against the Serie A side could be Ifeanyi Ndukwe’s last game for the club this season despite his strong performances in pre-season.

## Romano confirms Ndukwe will leave Liverpool

Earlier today, [we relayed claims on Read Liverpool that Ndukwe will go out on loan](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2026/08/11/liverpool-defender-expected-to-leave-after-ronald-araujo-deal-officially-announced/) as he can’t feature in the Premier League due to not having a work permit.

And now, Romano has doubled down on those claims, adding that he already has offers from multiple clubs across the continent.

He wrote on X: “Ifeanyi Ndukwe will leave Liverpool on loan from next week, plan decided.

Ndukwe seems like a massive talent and has already proved that he has a bright future at the club with his performances in pre-season.

Liverpool need to think hard and finalise the right place for him to carry on developing so that he can join the first team in 2027.
