# Positive meeting good news for Rodgers

After weeks of speculation, the much publicised end-of-season review was finally held on Tuesday, and the *Liverpool Echo*, among other outlets, report that the meeting was positive and that Brendan Rodgers will continue in his role as manager next season.

Tom Werner and Mike Gordon were in attendance, while John W Henry was absent.

Many thought that this review would signal the end of Rodgers’ tenure at Liverpool, but it appears as though he will remain in charge.

It is thought that Rodgers was interrogated about the club’s failings this season and the presence of the transfer committee along with other issues concerning the future of the club.

Both parties are reportedly primed to continue working together, as Rodgers impressed Werner with continued plans for improving the team, which includes securing the services of Manchester City midfielder James Milner on a free transfer.

The Liverpool manager is likely to remain under pressure from the supporters for the duration of the summer and into the new campaign.

Transfers are likely to receive the most scrutiny, considering that they are seen as contributing to the poor form shown by the club this season.

Still, a stronger sense of security for the embattled Rodgers will help him reach out to the club’s supporters in preparation for a another season.
